Welcome to the WSOY Community Food Drive website (the “Site”). By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before participating, donating, or volunteering.
Participation in the WSOY Community Food Drive as a volunteer is open to individuals of all ages; however, certain roles may require a minimum age or guardian consent. By volunteering, you affirm that you are eligible to do so under applicable laws.
Volunteers agree to:
* Act respectfully and responsibly at all events and toward all participants.
* Follow the directions of event organizers and comply with safety protocols.
* Refrain from any illegal, harmful, or disruptive behavior.
We reserve the right to remove any volunteer whose behavior violates these terms or compromises the safety or integrity of the food drive.
All monetary donations are processed through the United Way of Decatur and Macon County and are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Donation refunds are handled at the discretion of United Way.
All content on this Site, including logos, text, graphics, and media, is the property of The WSOY Community Food Drive or its partners and may not be used without written permission.
We are committed to protecting your privacy. Personal information collected through volunteer sign-ups or donation forms will only be used for communication related to the food drive and will not be sold or shared.
By participating in the food drive, volunteers acknowledge and accept the risks associated with physical activity, public interaction, and outdoor events. The WSOY Community Food Drive and its partners are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during participation.
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites such as the United Way or sponsors. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without notice. Continued use of the Site after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Event Date: October 2, 2026 and all activities related prior to October 2, 2026
Location: Kroger – Airport Plaza, Decatur, IL
Organizer: WSOY Community Food Drive
In return for being allowed to participate in The WSOY Community Food Drive, volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation (“Volunteer Activities”), and activities leading up to the event (including bag delivery, donation pick-up, phone bank, on-site assistance, and/or pantry assistance, the Volunteer or Parent/Legal Guardian of Volunteer if Volunteer is under age 18 (hereafter referred to using “I”, “me”, or “my”) releases and agrees not to sue, the WSOY Community Food Drive, Kroger, The United Way of Decatur and Mid Illinois, and its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents, participating agencies and affiliates from all present and future claims that may be made by me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death arising as a result of my participation in the Volunteer Activities wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur.
I understand and agree that the WSOY Community Food Drive, Kroger, The United Way of Decatur and Mid Illinois or its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents, participating agencies and affiliates are not responsible for any injury or property damage arising out of the Volunteer Activities, even if caused by their ordinary negligence or otherwise. I understand that participation in the Volunteer Activities involves certain risks, including, but not limited to, serious injury and death. I am voluntarily participating in the Volunteer Activities with knowledge of the danger involved, and I agree to accept all risks of participation. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless the WSOY Community Food Drive, Kroger, The United Way of Decatur and Mid Illinois, and its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents, participating agencies, and affiliates for all claims arising out of my participation in the Volunteer Activities.
I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted in Illinois, and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect. I also acknowledge that The WSOY Community Food Drive, Kroger, The United Way of Decatur and Mid Illinois, and its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents, participating agencies, and affiliates have not arranged and do not carry any insurance of any kind for my benefit or that of Volunteer (if Volunteer is under 18),parents, guardians, trustees, heirs, executors, administrators, successors and assigns.
I represent that, to my knowledge, I am in good health and suffer no physical impairment that would or should prevent my participation in Volunteer Activities. I also understand that this document is a contract which grants certain rights to and eliminates the liability of the WSOY Community Food Drive, Kroger, The United Way of Decatur and Mid Illinois, and its officers, directors, employees, sub-contractors, sponsors, agents, participating agencies, and affiliates.
PUBLICITY RELEASE
In return for being allowed to participate in WSOY Community Food Drive volunteer activities and all related activities, including any activities incidental to such participation, I, or the Parent/Legal Guardian of Volunteer, hereby grants to the WSOY Community Food Drive, and each of its subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, advertising or promotional agencies, and partners, and all such entities’ officers, directors, agents, employees, respective successors and assigns (collectively,“Authorized Parties”), the absolute and irrevocable right and permission to use, publish, broadcast and/or copyright the use of Volunteer’s name, address, voice, photograph and/or likeness, caricature, and personal information, in its current form or as retouched, digitized, cropped, altered, distorted or modified in any way, in any and all advertising, promotional, or other materials based upon or derived from the Volunteer Activities in any manner, in any media whatsoever for any and all purposes, including by way of example but without limitation advertising, promoting or publicizing products andservices throughout the universe, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter devised (including without limitation on the Internet), without additional compensation. I further agree that anything derived therefrom will be owned solely by the Authorized Parties. I shall not authorize the use of any print, negative or other copy thereof by anyone other than the Authorized Parties. I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of Illinois, and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.
