The WSOY Community Food Drive Business & Organization Toolkit is a comprehensive guide created to help companies, nonprofits, and other organizations support the fight against hunger in Macon County. Whether you're raising money, collecting food, or doing both, this toolkit provides everything you need to plan and promote a successful campaign.

  • ​​​​​​​Make a corporate contribution. All monetary donations are tax-deductible thanks to our partnership with the United Way of Decatur and Mid-Ilinois. Donations can be made online HERE or in person at the WSOY Community Food Drive on October 3rd, so that we can talk about your business or organization on the air. Please see Promotional Opportunities below for more information. 

  • Consider donating a portion of sales from your business or store.

Collect food

  • Set up a collection area for employees, customers, clients, or vendors to donate non-perishable items.

  • Use our requested food list HERE to guide your drive.

  • Set a goal (e.g., 500 lbs of food or 10 items per employee) to motivate participation.

  • Offer a discount to customers/clients who donate non-perishable food to your company's efforts.

  • ​Request our bags HERE and distribute them around the office. 

  • Create a display of your donated food in your lobby or central location to promote your efforts.

  • Bring your donations to the WSOY Community Food Drive for drop off on October 3rd, 2025, at the Kroger at Airport Plaza.
