Decatur, IL - Shoppers at all Kroger locations in Decatur have the opportunity to make a big impact with small change this month. Throughout August, customers can choose to “round up” their purchases to the nearest dollar at checkout, with all proceeds going to the WSOY Community Food Drive, which takes place Friday, October 3rd.
In addition to the round-up option, Kroger is also offering $1, $3, $5, and $10 donation add-ons, giving customers a variety of ways to give. While shopping in August, you can also grab one of their $5 and $10 pre-packed donation bags.
The WSOY Community Food Drive is a massive one-day effort aimed at fighting hunger throughout Macon County, and Kroger’s month-long campaign is one of the first big pushes to kick off this year’s effort.
Kroger's partnership with the WSOY Community Food Drive goes all the way back to the drive's beginning 25 years ago. It's also part of Kroger's Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative, which reflects Kroger's commitment to build healthier communities and improve access to affordable, fresh food for everyone.
