WSOY Community Food Drive Launches New Website to Make Giving Easier Than Ever

Decatur, IL — July 16, 2025 The WSOY Community Food Drive—one of Macon County’s most impactful charitable efforts—has launched a brand-new website at www.WSOYFoodDrive.com, designed to streamline the giving experience and provide the community with a one-stop hub for everything related to the annual drive.

The refreshed site offers an updated look, improved navigation, and enhanced tools for donors, volunteers, and local businesses. Visitors can donate online with ease, learn about volunteer opportunities and register, access a full list of needed items, download tools such as social media graphics and flyers, and stay up to date with the latest news.

“The goal was to make it easier than ever for people to get involved,” said Lindsay Romano, Food Drive coordinator. “Whether you’re a longtime supporter or hearing about the Food Drive for the first time, the new site gives you everything you need to make a difference.”

The WSOY Community Food Drive will return on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Kroger on Route 36 in Decatur. All monetary and food donations go directly to more than 20 food pantries and feeding programs throughout Macon County.

Organizers say the new website couldn’t have come at a better time. “We’re facing greater need than ever,” said Brian Byers, Food Drive co-founder. “Food pantries are under pressure, and the economy continues to stretch families thin. This site helps us meet people where they are and gives them more ways to help.”
